THE STORY

KaIND (Kain Indonesia) is a local Indonesian brand that has started at the end of 2014 with a vision to present a refreshed look of Pasuruan Batik as one of Indonesia’s cultural heritage.
Originated from Pasuruan, Melie Indarto has created KaIND with a sophisticated creativity and reliable team to raise up the bar from the domination of textile industries by developing local community skill on hand-weaving, hand-drawn batik and natural coloring techniques.

We create handmade products which explore and express the iconic symbols such as Bromo Mountain, Pasir Berbisik, Chrysanthemum, Aglaonema, Asoka and Tuberose onto our handwoven scarves, along with our home collection and clothing being presented in soft colors by natural dyes to preserve and to advocate as an eco-conscious brand within the era.
