Few weeks ago, on a fine day in Pasuruan, our workshop was alive with joyful chatter, busy hands everywhere, and the sound of wood from our handweaving tools. It might seem like the usual productive day at KaIND workshop, however, we were fervent with spirit and gratefulness that came from working on this special order, the G20 Bali Summit official souvenir. 

This incredible opportunity came unexpectedly after KaIND took part in Trade Expo Indonesia. The Ministry of Industry had offered us to fill one of their booths at the expo, and on the last day we had a very pleasant visit from the representatives from the Ministry of trade. They were very interested in our peace silk and handwoven scarf, and how KaIND is a product of village empowerment in Pasuruan. Finally, they chose two of our delicate collections, the Tegese Awu and Tegese Sawo small scarves to be sent to Bali for the G20 summit. 

As a founder, I was beyond grateful and very proud of KaIND's production team in Pasuruan during the making of this order. In less than two weeks we were able to fulfill the order smoothly, without needing me to personally come and supervise the process. Since I needed to stay in Jakarta for the Pengusaha Muda BRilliant competition,it would be difficult for me to go to the workshop. Around 20 artisans were directly involved in this project. Starting from designing the special boxes, weaving the fabric, coloring, putting together the flyers that tells about our peace silk, finishing and packaging, I was amazed how they can pull off this project without any problem. This milestone showed that our team has matured and ready to step up as a solid sustainable fashion brand. 

This success of course is a result of great teamwork and perseverance. Again, we were really proud to be able to introduce the finest peace silk fibers from our local farmer and the works of our talented local artisans to the world through the G20 summit.
